Objective: We aim to equip undergraduate students with practical, interdisciplinary skills in research communication, focusing on academic presentation formats and the ethical, effective use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools. The programme will support students in becoming confident science communicators who are capable to present their research findings to diverse audiences using both traditional and modern formats.

The programme also offers full participation in the Student Conference “Health in our Hands”, where students will have the opportunity to present their work, engage with peers from across Europe, and experience international scientific exchange in action. BIP participants are not requested to buy the ticket for the conference.
3 ECTS will be awarded on completion of the full programme (including online meetings and individual assignments).
Students and staff members from partner institutions (with active Erasmus+ IIA) can participate with Erasmus+ mobility grant.
Preliminary programme
Monday: Arrival & Orientation
*Optional: Guided tour in Estonian National Museum.
Overview of the week, international evening with buffet dinner.
Tuesday: Smart Research with AI
Workshops on integrating AI tools into research and presentation preparation.
Discussions on the ethical use of technology.
Wednesday: Presentation Skills
Practical workshops on storytelling, voice, and non-verbal communication.
Individual and/or group coaching; peer feedback on student presentation drafts.
Digital note taking.
Thursday: Student Conference “Health in our Hands”
Friday: Reflection & Experience Exchange
Research groups at Tartu Applied Health Sciences University.
Group reflection on learning outcomes, feedback session. Certification.
*Optional: Guided tour in Estonian National Museum.
* You can choose between two scheduled times for the guided museum tour while registering for the programme.
** Lunches and coffee breaks during the on-site week are included, however, accommodation is not covered by the organisers.
Registration is closed. Detailed information for OLA will be sent to confirmed participants.
