Project number: 1G37-SF21-04422PROM

Funder: European Social Fund

Duration of the project: 01.09.2025 – 31.03.2027

Tartu Applied Health Sciences University is participating in the project “Development of Vocational and Higher Education in Line with Labor Market Needs, or PRÕM+” funded by the Ministry of Education and Research and the European Social Fund. The aim of the project is to support and develop workplace-based learning in vocational and higher education.

The project focuses on learning in a real work environment, which strengthens the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical working life. Workplace-based learning creates closer cooperation between educational institutions and employers and supports the development of curricula in accordance with labor market trends.

In the 2025/2026 academic year, the following curricula at Tartu Health Care College are supported by the PRÕM+ measure:

  • Childcare (initial vocational education at level 5)
  • Care Worker (continuing vocational education at level 4)
  • Emergency Medical Technician (initial vocational education at level 4) – starting from February 2026
  • Health Sciences (Mental Health Nursing) Master’s program

The PRÕM+ activities are coordinated by the Estonian Education and Youth Board and co-financed by the European Union.
