Students Council

Student Union makes your time in Tartu Applied Health Sciences University more exciting. They organize different events for students (events for welcoming new students, health week), help the school board with questions about student life and arrange health promotion events like walking week.

The purpose of the Student Union is to engage students in making the decisions relevant to them and to provide opportunities to express their opinion on issues related to the activities of TARTUH. The Student Union protects students’ rights and interests, represents the student both within and outside the university, and promotes student life by sharing information, organizing discussions and events, and fostering cooperation with other organizations. Representatives of the Student Union belong to the TARTUH Council Board and they are engaged in the activities of the Pedagogical Board.

The Student Council of the Tartu Applied Health Sciences University has been working with students’ concerns, joys, organization and assistance since 2005, when the school received the title of a higher education institution. The activities, membership and procedure of the Student Union are specified in the Statute. The Student Union is a member of the EUL – Federation of Estonian Student Unions since 2006, which is a student umbrella organization whose goal is to represent the interests of Estonian students and protect their rights.
