ASTRA+ Increasing the Impact of Research and Strengthening Institutional Knowledge Transfer Capacity in Research Institutions and Higher Education Institutions

Enhancing knowledge and skills related to knowledge transfer, business development, and innovation management among staff of research and development institutions, universities, and universities of applied sciences, including the development and implementation of a dedicated skills development programme.

The project focuses on developing competencies in knowledge transfer, business development and innovation management, and providing practical trainings for employees of universities and research institutions. The training plan includes foundation courses, expert-level training, study visits, and a dedicated innovation managers’ development programme.
TULEVIK consortium brings together all Estonian public universities and universities of applied sciences. In addition, seven R&D institutions participate as non-funded partners. The consortium is led by the University of Tartu.
Objectives:
- to establish a baseline level of knowledge transfer and business development skills and develop advanced competencies among R&D personnel;
- to increase and empower the pool of specialists and experts in knowledge transfer and innovation;
- to enhance the commercialisation of research results and strengthen cooperation with industry.

Total project budget: €6,084,043.15
