ASTRA+ Increasing the Impact of Research and Strengthening Institutional Knowledge Transfer Capacity in Research Institutions and Higher Education Institutions

Ensuring and developing the substantive and technical functionality of the ADAPTER cooperation network of Estonian universities and research and development institutions, promoting the platform, presenting jointly offered services through the platform, ensuring technical readiness for service provision, and implementing networking activities.

The objective of the ADAPTER+ project is to increase the volume of knowledge transfer and business contracts among more than 20 higher education institutions and R&D organisations through proactive cooperation, including thematic networks aligned with national RDI focus areas (TAIE) and ADAPTER+ clubs.
The project ensures the substantive and technical operation of the ADAPTER+ cooperation network during 2025–2029, joint marketing of the ADAPTER+ platform, networking activities at national and international levels, and the long-term sustainability of these activities.
Activities are organised within three thematic networks:
- Health and Food (lead partners: University of Tartu, Estonian University of Life Sciences)
- Environment and Climate (TalTech)
- Language and Culture (Estonian Academy of Arts, Tallinn University)
In cooperation, partners develop new knowledge transfer services, enhance the functionality and visibility of the platform, and implement joint marketing, collaboration clubs, and awareness-raising activities.
The project is coordinated by TalTech, all major Estonian universities, universities of applied sciences, and several research institutions are involved in the network.
