On 9 June, Olena Zelenska, First Lady of Ukraine, and Sirje Karis, First Lady of Estonia, met with representatives of five Estonian higher education institutions. During the meeting, Jaan Looga, Rector of Tartu Applied Health Sciences University, signed a cooperation memorandum with the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies.
The cooperation memorandum strengthens ties between partners and opens up new opportunities for joint research and development projects, academic cooperation, the sharing of experience, and the participation of higher education and research institutions in international cooperation.
The Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies was established on the initiative of the Presidential Foundation for Support of Education, Science and Sports, the Ukrainian Institute, the Office of the Crimean Platform, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The ambassador of the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies is Olena Zelenska, First Lady of Ukraine.
Representing Tartu Applied Health Sciences University at the event were Rector Jaan Looga, Knowledge Transfer Coordinator Krista Staškevitš, and Marketing and Communications Manager Jaanika Niinepuu.
